Specter is holding firm. It's possible he feels he gave Bush his Supreme Court nominee and now, in exchange, he gets the right to do the right thing regarding illegal domestic spying. Still, Specter has yet to show some real backbone versus the Bush administration. The hearings are this week, stay tuned.
