It's not clear what sign Republicans will need need, but the fact that their leader in the House is voicing these concerns is bad news for Bush. Come this fall, he's going to have an impossible time holding the Republicans together. Americans are going to be increasingly ticked off at their members of Congress is those members keep supporting this growing failed war.
