Open thread

The forecast is looking iffy for tomorrow. I've got a nice view of the fireworks at the Washington Monument from my balcony. It's nothing like the view actually at the fireworks - they do a great display in this town. And you always can get a good seat - just walk down until you get south of the White House, everything is a good view from there (well, stick to 17th street, best view in my opinion).
