Open thread

Just got back from seeing the movie "The Kite Runner." Wow. One of the best movies I have ever seen. It's about a boy growing up in Afghanistan right before the Soviet invasion, and then goes on from there. Just beautifully done, interesting culturally, and sad and hopeful and all the rest. I cannot say enough about this film. If you like art-house movies, run and see this film.
