
Someone mentioned in the comments that I really ought to snap my orchid photos with a solid background. I totally forgot that I had bought some black velvet for this very purpose. So, here's the same flower as last night, with the better background. (The flower's true color is much redder, but as I mentioned last night, it's nearly impossible to capture the color with a digital camera - anyone up on why digital cameras have problems with some colors? I've noticed the same problem with either blue or purple flowers, it screws up their coloring as well.)
