Just say no to offshore drilling

As mentioned Wednesday, whichever solution we choose will take years so why not develop a serious plan for the future that will mean jobs, opportunity, leadership and protection of our environment. Offshore drilling is not plug-and-play, problem solved. Drilling would disrupt the underwater environment and the cost to homeowners and tourism would be catastrophic. Besides, didn't McCain just tell everyone about how he wants to fight climate change? This will only add to the problem without helping the US move beyond an oil-based economy but of course, McCain is just pandering to the right wingers who hate him for talking about global warming.
