My interview with former Greek Foreign Minister George Pandreou

When I was in Greek last week attending the Symi Symposium, I got to interview former Greek Foreign Minister, and the current opposition party leader, George Papandreou. We only had about 15 to 20 minutes, so I kept it to three main topics. The first, socialism. Papandreou's party, PASOK, is a socialist party. What's more,Papandreou is the president of the Socialist International. To an American raised during the Cold War, both of those facts raise some eyebrows. So I asked Papandreou to explain to an American audience why we shouldn't be concerned when we hear that he's a "socialist." We then talked about Iraq, and finally about Barack Obama.
