It's not a simple gaffe when it never happened before and now it's happening all the time. It's not a simple gaffe when it's your signature issue. This is like confusing Spain and Latin America. It's something so basic, especially to someone with an expertise in the area, that it's looking increasingly indicative of McCain's failing mental acuity. Senility, dementia?
