29 days.

Big debate tomorrow night. It's the town hall meeting. Tom Brokaw is the moderator. We need to keep reminding everyone that Brokaw has been busy smoothing relations between NBC and the McCain campaign. The pressure is on Brokaw to prove he hasn't become a toady for the GOP.

Also, has anyone seen George Bush lately? Usually, by this time in the campaign, the incumbent president would be out on the trail, rallying the base. But, he's missing. Just nowhere to be seen. McCain wants to make an issue of "associations," which seems quite risky for him given his very close association with George W. Bush. Very close. Third term close.

And while we're on the subject of McCain's associations, check out: KeatingEconomics.com. Yes, John McCain's good friend and vacation buddy, Charles Keating, who cost the taxpayers billions. Has anyone clued Sarah Palin in on the whole Keating 5 scandal and McCain's role in it? Some McCain campaign aide needs to write it up on her next Starbucks cup.
