Norm Coleman's lead drops again. He's ahead of Franken by 204 votes.

The vote count continues to head in the right direction in Minnesota's Senate race:

Al Franken's deficit just keeps on shrinking as the state adjusts the unofficial tally in the U.S. Senate election last week.

Today's latest results show the DFL challenger is now trailing Republican incumbent Norm Coleman by 204 votes. That's down from 221 over the weekend.

As of 9:40 a.m., Coleman has 1,211,554 votes to Franken's 1,211,350.

The Coleman campaign is freaking out and we can expect all kinds of drama from Norm:

The Coleman campaign has questioned the validity of changes. Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie has responded that the revisions are typical and that no fraud is being committed.

From the reports I've read, these kinds of adjustments take place after every election. It usually doesn't matter, because it's just rare that the race is so close. The officials in Minnesota are following the law. But, that won't stop Coleman and his fellow Republicans from questioning the process. That's what they do.
