Your thoughts on Gordon Brown and the UK-American relationship?

Gang, as you may know, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown is in town today to talk to President Obama and Congress, in the hopes of restoring Britain's "best friend" status with the United States, now that Tony Blair's bff King George has finally been dethroned. They're curious about the American impression of the British-American relationship. Is the relationship damaged, can it be put back on track, do Americans even care? Your thoughts?
